Situated alongside nine other passive houses in the beautiful river valley of Vejle this single family house pushes the boundaries of traditional sustainable housing by being an example of visionary and energy efficiency architecture.By focusing on low energy consumption and healthy indoor climate the house is composed to give extra room for togetherness and expression and through its large glass facades and wooden exterior the house communicates with the surrounding landscape.The sustainable approach is also reflected in the choice of material since the 220m2 house is constructed using solid wood elements for the walls, the floor plates, the roof as well as the horizontal division.....more
